In our business, we strive to eat outside as much as possible, so during spring, autumn and summer we mainly eat (all meals) outdoors. A varied diet is served that is prepared from scratch and a couple of days a week we eat a vegetarian lunch. A large part of the food is Kravmarkt and organic. We follow the Swedish Food Agency’s Guidelines for meals in preschool.
During the warmer seasons, our chef cooks outside on the farm and she also accompanies children and educators into the forest once or twice a week and cooks over an open fire.
During certain weeks each year, the kitchen and the educational activities collaborate in various projects. The meals are an important learning situation and an important part of the social community at the preschool.
